Getting around Austin
You can fly directly to Austin and land at Austin Bergstrom International Airport (AUS). You could also land at San Antonio or Houston and drive but AUS has most carriers handled.
Amtrak run services directly to Austin Station but there is no local rail or metro rail service in the city as yet.
Buses are run by Arrow Trailways of Texas, El Expreso & Tornado Bus, Greyhound, Megabus and others from the city center. Capital Metro runs commuter buses throughout the city.
Austin has one freeway running north to south in the I-25 while I-20 runs east to west with I-30 coming in from Arkansas. Local routes are plentiful and offer hassle free transit around the city.
