Los Angeles is a huge, sprawling city, one of the most famous in the world. It’s also in California and that makes it a very cool place to be. Anyone living, working or vacationing here will have more entertainment options than you know what to do with. With that in mind, we have put together a brief guide on what we think are the entertainment highlights of our city. As always, if you’re looking for corporate housing while in Los Angeles, check out our inventory.
J. Paul Getty Museum
The J. Paul Getty Museum is huge and impressive and the exhibits are only part of the allure. Sure there is plenty to see, as you would expect from one of the most wealthy dynasties in the country. There is also space, gardens and the Getty Center to enjoy. It makes for a lovely, peaceful day out.
Sushi in San Fernando Valley
Unless you’re from Japan, this is the best place in the world to get sushi outside of that country. The Valley has a range of sushi joints that deliver exceptional quality fish that are as attractive to look at as they are to eat. If you’re into trying something different, this is the place for you.
Forget Rodeo Drive, forget Melrose Avenue, try something a little bit cooler and visit this less beautiful, but no less interesting shopping destination. Robertson BLVD great for celebrity spotting and for lunch if you can get a table at the Ivy.
Visiting Olvera Street is something every visitor should do while you’re here. It’s the old center of Los Angeles and a tourist district of town. Despite that, it’s a nice place to visit, with lots of tourist stuff, but also lots of genuine things to see and so. It’s also the place to go for great Mexican food. There is also the Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, to see too.
If you like the sun and why would you visit LA if you didn’t, a day or two at Malibu Beach is a no-brainer. Zuma is typical LA, with all the beautiful people hanging out being seen, playing volleyball and even getting into the water, but apart from that, it really is a beautiful part of the city.
Warner Brothers Studio Tour
Taking a Warner Brothers Studio Tour is to LA what seeing the Golden Gate Bridge is to San Francisco, it is a must-do. This tour is the best in our opinion and offers the most for your money. It’s also a working studio where there is always something going on.
Third Street Promenade
The Third Street Promenade is shopping heaven. It’s an outdoor mall that is typical LA and only a few blocks from the beach. There are the usual suspects as well as individual shops, boutiques, an excellent farmers market and some great places to eat. Well worth a visit!
