Mesa, Arizona is the state’s third largest city and is part of the Greater Phoenix Metroplex. It is 20 miles east of Phoenix with Tempe to the west, the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community to the north, Chandler and Gilbert to the south and Apache Junction to the east.

You have a couple of options for flying into Mesa. There is no intercity rail but Valley Metro Light Rail runs commuter services between Mesa, Tempe and Downtown Phoenix.

Road routes include U.S. Route 60, Superstition Freeway, SR 87 Loop 101 and local routes. Traffic is not heavy most times so traveling by road is very straightforward.
