Baytown can be found east of Houston by Galveston Bay. Settled in 1822, the area has a large industrial presence, with petrochemical processing and construction being foremost among them. Despite the skyline, it’s a nice place to live, within a short drive of downtown and the Gulf Coast.
Baytown is growing fast, like the rest of Houston, yet keeps some charm. There are local amenities to enjoy including Baytown Nature Center, Royal Purple Raceway, The Baytown Little Theater, San Jacinto Mall and more. Plus, major routes to Galveston, wider Texas and the ocean are very close by.
